We lived full-time in an RV for about 1,300 days, and tonight is the last night I will spend in one as a full-timer for the foreseeable future. The blow is softened knowing that I have a king size mattress waiting for me at the house š.
All joking aside I'm so, SO excited to be moving back to town. I love RV life, but we're pretty tired, and have no wanderlust left in the tank right now.
I've really been enjoying reading the Factorio Friday Facts, a weekly blog that talks about progress of the upcoming expansion to Factorio. It's been design-centric, and quite technical. Also, I can't wait for this game!
Welp, itās happening. After 4 years of full-time travel, weāve decided it is time to slide back into the rhythms of ānormalā life, and signed a lease to move into a house in our hometown of Dover, OH for December 1st(!)
I love the time we spent traveling, and will always have the life-changing experiences that we had on the road with me. But yeah, I'm done. It's been 4 years and I've got no more go in my go yonders.
I'm sure it will come back, and I envision that I'll full time again in the future, but for now, we just want to slow down a bit.

Kates baking bread and Iām making enough pizza dough to start a pizzeria. Itās nice to have an actual kitchen again!
Making this cabin feel more at home with a few inexpensive tweaks and cannibalizing from our now broken camper. The cabin smells like bread, and thereās some nice slow jazz playing from the TV.
Weāre displaced, but refuse to accept that this means we canāt feel at home.

If youāre full timing in a camper, or boat, or whatever, drop what youāre doing and review your insurance policy. Learn about options related to a loss of use rider - because if your camper is out of commission for several weeks, youāre gonna be paying extra to live in a cabin or something in the meantime.
Learn from my mistake!
Soā¦I think this might be how we exit out of full-timing. We were already poising ourselves to move into a house this Summer, but I think with my primary home, at best, being in a repair shop for several months, that weāre probably going to consider this a forced opportunity to exit. I really didnāt think we would be leaving like this, eesh.
Itās been kinda fun to watch my youngest experience living in a house. Heās 4, and was an infant when we moved into the camper, so he has no idea what itās like to live in a house.
