I see people asking “what can I do to overcome burnout?” I think is the wrong question. Burnout is not a thing to overcome. That mentality kills. Work hard. Work until you’re tired, and then take a long ass break. Like, take your assumption on how long you need and quadruple it.

  1. Burnout is not something to overcome. It’s just your body saying “fuck I’m tired, can we do something else?”

    Just listen to it. Don’t make it more than what it is. Your body will tell you when it’s ready to come back. People talk about “balance”, but that doesn’t always work. For me, and the work I do, I find I do best with unapologetically working until I’m tired of working, and then unapologetically cutting back when I’ve had enough.
