Let’s GO

I replaced my morning slot from doing office work to doing dishes, cleaning my kitchen, and jamming to very loud music, and as a result, I got more done today than I got done yesterday.
I certainly don’t know the exact cause of this, and your mileage may vary, but it does continue to support my firm belief that more time does not necessarily mean more things get done.
Sometimes you just need to know your rhythm, and know when you’re going to be productive and when you’re not, and try to optimize for that.

Today:
Feeling like we’re at the tipping point this quarter. LFG

Today has been all about meetings. I’ve got 3 new people on my team, and most of my Mondays go into helping to train them.
So grateful to have help. I didn’t ask for it well enough in the past, and I’m working hard to do that more this year.

You know when you have an idea, and you want to go and work on it instead of doing the work in front of you? I resist that urge with my Todoist inbox.
Sundays are for reviewing that inbox, adding notes, organizing, and cleaning up. Always feels so good to get that to inbox zero.

PUMPED to discover GTD has a book about GTD for teams! Instant buy for me.

Remember in th 2000s when we all developed “ad blindness?” That’s happening with AI content on social media right now.
We can all tell when something is lazily slipped out with AI, and because of the lack of effort and thought that went into it, people just skip over it.
If I wanted to talk to chatGPT, I would. But I’m on here to talk to YOU. So let me hear YOUR voice.
Your social profile should be you. Not a robot acting like you. All that does is water down your brand, and make your word less valuable, and noticed.

Rent’s due. Got work to do this week.
1. Interview with some near-shore talent for future projects
2. Finalize estimate on proposal for future project
3. Finish blog post and email draft on personal brand
4. Follow up on existing leads
TGIF. Been a hard week.

People: LLMs are simply predicting the right thing to say in response to you. They can’t think.
Me: Uh…isn’t that exactly what we do in conversation?
