People don’t remember what you did – they remember how you made them feel. If you want to create real relationships with your customers, you have to break down the salesperson -> customer relationship. Treat them like a person you want to help, not as a source of income. This is ESPECIALLY true right now. I haven’t asked anyone for work since this started. Instead, I have doubled-down on simple check-ins, and reminders that we’re here for them, and want to help in whatever way we can. Even if that means just offering some advice.
