Hey There! I’m Alex
Founder, Engineer, Architect, Father, Husband, Nomad
I’m on a mission to help people reclaim their power. in work, in creativity, in life. I believe that freedom isn’t about doing whatever you want, but designing a path that truly fits you. This means breaking free from old rules, owning your work, and choosing how and where you do your best work.
Current Projects
Novatorius
We build systems that help businesses grow. We create modern websites and marketing programs that drive real results. By combining systematic processes with proven industry expertise, we help you work less while growing more.
We create standardized approaches that work consistently across businesses, industries, and teams.
Siren Affiliates
Siren helps you create partnership programs that actually work. Set up revenue sharing, referral rewards, and team compensation – all managed automatically through WordPress.
Track results, pay partners on time, and grow through collaboration. More than just another affiliate plugin, Siren handles any scenario where you need to split revenue or reward results.
OnCamp
OnCamp delivers fully managed, modern websites designed specifically for campgrounds. We handle setup, hosting, updates, and ongoing support, so owners never wrestle with tech or DIY site builders.
More than just a website service, OnCamp is your dedicated partner who keeps your online presence current and hassle-free.
Personal Updates
Between late night binges playing Phasmophobia, I’ve been doing a lot of “future work” lately. Thinking about Novatorius, Siren, and what it all means. How does it all connect to my beliefs, and my life, and what’s the purpose of all of it.
I’ve always had a sense of why, but it’s never been that clear. Just strong emotions, and a general “feeling”. A lot of my time has been working through articulating that stuff lately.

Living It Up With a Shed
We set up a shed on our seasonal lot in Vermont, and I’m so happy with the results. This post talks a bit about how we built the shed, and the platform it’s built on.

See You at WordCamp US!
I’m going to be at WordCamp US this year. This conference is well-timed because I’m starting to think about finding freelance work for the upcoming Winter season. I haven’t seen anyone in-person in WordPress since 2019! I can’t wait to see y’all!

LASIK
I got LASIK yesterday, and for the first time since 1994, when I was 6 years old, I am able to see without corrective lenses. It’s been an exciting, and surprisingly emotional experience for me.
Own Your Platform
I believe in the Fediverse, and the ideals of owing your platform.
I treat my personal site as a central hub, so you’ll find everything I post on this site. It’s just my way of trying to make the web a little more decentralized, and own my content.
I am pretty passionate about this idea, and I think you could do the same, too. If you’re willing to spend a little more time sharing your content in one more location, you can do it, too.

Okay. Caching problems fixed. Unclear if the blog post formatting issue is fixed though. Hoping that excerpts will show with a link to the post when it’s not a micro post 🤞

Federating My Website
This post explores how I’ve added enhancements to my site to better-integrate with the Fediverse, and also how I’m using the Mastodon app to publish content direct to my WP site (!)

Holy shit. There’s a plugin that allows you to publish on your blog using Mastodon apps. You can now publish content on your WordPress site directly through the mastodon app. This is HUGE for mobile experience.
