I can’t stop thinking about this post. I really think the key to being truly 100% off-grid comes from redundancies when-possible, and this is a fantastic example of that. solar.lowtechmagazine.com/2020/05/thermo…

Rest is great when you have a good connection. It absolutely sucks when you don’t. I really wish more apps would leverage local caching more effectively.

Spent yesterday afternoon relaxing, playing Loop Hero, and just in-general recovering from last week’s hell. Antibiotics have fully kicked in now and I feel pretty much normal again.

For the first time in 10 years, Kate has requested my grits. This is not a drill!

Loop hero is so, so fun. Seems really simple on the surface, but you quickly realize it has A LOT of depth to it.

Final last minute upgrade to the desk. Mounting that sumbitch to the floor. Crude, but effective (probably)

Today is a big day. We’re leaving the Texas campground and will be on the road again starting today. We’ll be going much, much slower this spring, and thankfully this first drive is only 1 hour long. Feeling MUCH better after taking my second dose of prescribed meds.
