I’m learning that as we dig deeper into making more things homemade, they tend to stack in unexpected ways. Exhibit a: soup. Prior to making my own pork stock, smoking my own pork, and making my own bread, it was just…well…soup. Now it’s amazing.

Can someone ELI5 exactly how crypto is expected to be used in a transactional manner when it seems like any transaction is $50 in gas fees? Isn’t the original purpose to actually use it as a decentralized currency?

I finally pulled the trigger. I bought the standiford.us domain I think our identity online is about to get a lot more integrated in our lives, and I think it will be nice to be able to help not only myself, but anyone in my family keep that stuff straight.
