I think this design would be more sturdy, would be substantially lighter, and would also be a lot thinner when folded up.

But if you made it cold up, you’d end up with a seam on the top of the board, and that’s just a bad idea. Hmm…

The problem is the “non-sucky” size of the board is enormous, which makes portability difficult. You coild make it fold up, I guess.

I want to design it out of easily accessible things, but want to make it easier to carry, and better-suited for dim light conditions.
