I’m currently crawling around some of my older blogs and compiling it on my personal site. It’s fun to look back at some of the projects I’ve worked on in the past, particularly my old stuff from my freelance mechanical engineering days, and my days working in the craft beer niche. Maybe I can even get my Gimp tutorial content on here, too. That’d be super rad.

I Applied YNAB Budgeting To My Time, And It’s Changed My Life
Have you ever thought of budgeting your time like money? Well, I did, and I have noticed that I am more productive, I avoid burning myself out, and I’ve been able to adapt to unexpected things that happen during my day without completely losing my day in the process. Welp, with what’s being shared around about Hostinger, seems like a good time to mention rule number 1 of Affiliate Marketing – Affiliate links are not okay without getting consent or knowledge from the reader, and they’re definitely not okay on a platform you don’t own.

The interface is coming along. There’s still a lot I want to do to improve this screen (filters, search, etc), but as a barebones starting point with fully-supported CRUD operations, I’m pleased with the results.
A Nerdy Note – There’s a lot going on under the hood, here. This app is platform agnostic, so it can be changed to run as a mobile app instead – with complete extensibility of the interface from the server. I’ll get into how all of that works someday.

The 40 Hour Work Week Is Sapping Your Best Employees. There’s A Better Way.
For many people (myself included), 40 hours a day is too much. I believe that we’re long overdue to shake up this work model, and using knowledge from my nearly 20 years in the workforce, both as an employee, and a business owner, I have come up with what I believe is a better way to measure success.

I’ve been taking a lot of notes using Obsidian lately. One of the things I like to do is add keywords (not tags, just keywords) so that different notes will come up more intuitively in search in the future. This has proven to be something that ChatGPT can help do exceptionally well, using this prompt:
Create as many keywords for this as you can think of to help me find it in search later. separate each keyword with a comma.
