The deck is technically assembled now. It will look a bit less trashy when we paint it all a uniform color, and somehow finish the edges.

Made some progress on the deck setup today. The campground had a couple spare decks sitting around, so we ended up using those, and the palettes for support. Picking up some things to make it nicer, such as paint, now.

I just submitted my talk to WCUS. ????

Chilling in Vergennes this morning. Love these little towns.

Our spot in Vermont is nice, but our lot is in…rough shape. The last owner had a deck on this spot for decades and as a result our lot is mostly raw mud.

Going to build up a cheap little deck to get us up to level with our camper and place some gravel to cover up the mud, I think.

10 miles from today’s stop, and we realized that it was just another 200 to our destination in Vermont. We said screw it, let’s go today. And so we went. Vermont, here I come!

Driving through a town, and decided to get Starbucks on our way out. I was able to get gas and park the camper to do this without trouble.

This. This is yet another example of why we went small for the travel rig.

Welp, here we are. Day one of hitting the road after OBX. Parked somewhere in Delaware, in a parking lot with the new camper in-tow. I loved my time in the Outer Banks, and was sad to leave, but, as always, the thrill of getting back on the road captivates me once more. It feels good to be “back”.

OH CRAP Kate and I just realized we’re leaving tomorrow, not Saturday.

    Time to scramble! ????????

If it were just Kate and me full-timing like we are now, I think we’d have one of these.

They’re small, but still have all the benefits that a fifth wheel provide. A more-stable haul, a shorter haul length, more headroom. With some panels on the roof, I think you could take this thing darn near anywhere.
