I feel more like an archeologist. Most clients come to me after their site is built, and usually have had a change of hands happen 3-4 times unsuccessfully, and there’s a string of bad decisions made that piles up, and nobody knows where anything is. I change that.

I started using SupportCandy, hosting my support tickets on my own site instead of paying for a SaaS. It has some quirks in the ticket editing experience, but honestly for a $150 lifetime price right now it’s well worth it.

Devin adds a qualifier of “2d” when he asks to have something printed. “Can we print that on the 2D printer”.
And I love that 😂

The biggest benefit of Dinnerly is proving to be the recipe cards they ship along with their subscriptions. We three-hole punch those things and put them in a binder so we can re-make the hits.
It’s made it easy for the kids to participate in meal planning because they can look at the nice big pictures of the food and pick what they want.

One of my favorite AI prompts to leverage ChatGPT to help me edit:
You’re an editor and you’re going to help me fine tune this post so I can get it published.
Let’s start with a chainsaw, then an axe, then a knife.
Hack away, move, and organize paragraphs with the chainsaw, Then cut at the individual paragraph level with an axe.
Then fine tune sentences with a knife.
Start with chainsaw.
Do not rewrite. Only make suggestions on things you think could be done better.[Insert blog content]

Love this kid! I’ll remember his willingness to cook with me for the rest of my life.
