Just got back from flying the Tantrum 220 foil kite in 20MPH winds (it’s rated up to 25mph) and HOLY HELL Y’ALL. That thing PULLS. I was pulling as hard as I could, leaning back like 30 degrees. Came home drenched in sweat, and my entire upper body shaking from the workout. 10/10 will fly again.

Big step in the right direction here – all of the electronic components have been mounted to the frame. I had to order one extension cable to power the motherboard, but other than that, it went well!

Welp I printed the part and several parts didn’t quite line up, and I didn’t use enough infill so it broke. Tweaking the holes and printing again, but this time I’m printing a thin test piece to check alignment.

I ordered a my first parafoil kite. A Tantrum 220. I’m interested in kitesurfing, and also looking for options for an upper body workout on windy days.
Can’t wait to get this thing in the air. Hopefully the kite is the only thing that goes up 😁
