  • Be a Guide, Not a Guru

I really like this framing. Being a “guide” instead of a guru. I’ve been writing up and conceptualizing a lot of content this week for Siren (so, so much content is getting queued) and this framing has been really useful for me. I’ve never been able to quite articulate it as well as this.

  • The Goal Setting Approach That Actually Works For Me

I’ve historically struggled with setting proper goals in my life. Until I discovered this approach, which seems to be working quite well.

  • It’s here 😬

  • I know that AI gets shoved in places it doesn’t belong these days, and a lot of it is REALLY bad, but AI has completely transformed Feedly into one hell of a listening station. I wonder if the future of the web looks more like a Feedly feed instead of a social feed?

  • I’m not confident I can top this setup. It’s basically a wood board on my recliner with a controller, keyboard, portable monitor, all hooked up to my handheld. Basically a Nintendo Switch, but way better.

  • The biggest thing that AI is changing for me? I want EVERYTHING as a markdown file. It’s portable, easy to read, easy to enhance, and easy to parse, both for me and AI. Heck, even creating an index of the content is easier than ever with things like ChromaDB.

  • The iPhone Promised to Empower Us. Here’s How I Made That Promise Real

We were promised a tool that would make life better, but my iPhone became a constant distraction instead. The promise wasn’t a lie, it just takes effort to make it real. I set new rules, rewired my habits, and took back control—here’s how I did it.
