Because we’re in a small camper with no slides, we were able to turn two back to back bookings at two different RV lots into a single two week stay, in a better location, for less money. This. This is why we swapped to the smaller rig.

Stunt kiting in OBX is just so fun. There’s basically always wind, and generally I find myself in walking distance of a good kiting spot. I find myself going out to do a quick session instead of just walking around the campground when I need a break from work. Loving it. Getting the hang of some of the basic tricks, too!

My 8 year old son just rickrolled me. He has no idea what he just started. ????

Really enjoying kiting as a travel friendly, family friendly hobby. They’re lots of fun, and can easily fit inside any RV setup I can imagine.

It’s a dreary, blustery weekend in the OBX. It’s like the universe is trying to remind me about when it sucks to be in a smaller rig. No regrets though, we’re built for this!

Still catching up on a number of things thanks to this week’s travel, but I still found some time to fly my kite in the dunes at Nags Head. I love it here!

Kate published a story that talks about our “side quest” this past week, where we purchased a smaller camper, moved into it, and put our existing bigger camper into storage. Her quick thinking saved us A LOT of miles.
I especially like this image that compares our original camper with the two campers we now own.

Okay, we dropped our big camper off in storage for the Summer. It took all day to get it delivered there, but it’s in a sensible position where we can easily access it without going out of our way later this year. Today, we are finally taking the small one back to OBX. Can’t wait to be done driving.
