This never rang true for me, simply because I’ve always done work I love. (Hell, my business’s mantra is love what you do.)
This, however, IS VERY true for someone very close to me. I would also add “it doesn’t have to be a career, either.”

I did this recently, too. Conferences, and concerts littered my calendar. It’s weird how fast you “forget” that such luxuries were once an option.
Does anyone else watch movies and think “remember when people could be that physically close?”
