This has since grown to 1.4 million. I ended up needing to make some pretty substantial changes to the system just to get situations like this under-control. This makes it so that things like doing_it_wrong events can be purged much, much more often than, say, plugin_activated events.

Add a hook to is_success method
I added a suggested improvement to BerlinDB, asking for a hook to allow for better visibility when a database table fails to be created.
