    Well here we go again.

Kate: “is the water heater on?”

Me: “what if I told you, that when we’re on the grid, it’s ALWAYS on.”

Kate: “OOH TALK DIRTY TO ME.” 😂

1 year ago today, we arrived in Canyon Lake Texas, ending our first leg of travel. Since then we’ve put about 5100 miles on the camper, and made dozens of stops all up the western US. We will be at the same campground we started at later today. Let’s review, shall we? 1 year ago, my mind was focused on the election results, and the fact that my RV tires were rapidly deteriorating. I was still really not used to pulling an RV, and was weary from travel. This little stunt has gone much smoother since we’ve worked out most bumps.

Kate shares some updates on what’s new with our travels.

Taos was lovely, but we need some space. Ive been yearning for something familiar. casualweirdness.life/the-journey-co…

I have come to think of my ⁦@jackeryinc⁩ as my “solar powered duct tape”

When something changes in our camper (see: unexpectedly needing to power a fridge while driving), it helps hold us over.

    A family portrait. 😅

I have a friend who got injured at work, and lost his job. (PS: screw you @Walmart)

He’s been working on HTML/CSS/JS and I’m wondering where he should go to find work. Should he jump in something like Fiverr? The goal here is to make some $$$ and build his portfolio quickly.

Is there is still need for good developers at design agencies? Or can agencies get by with designers building with blocks?

A member of WP Dev Acaedmy’s Discord asked this during a meetup last Thursday.

    Here’s my thoughts on that
🧵👇 I think for any simple website, and even some complex sites, you can have agencies and designers that don’t build using blocks with great success. You won’t really need a developer until you start needing to build truly custom blocks, or integrate with some third party system.

Today is the first day we’ve been on the grid for 4 months.

The first thing I do? TURN ON THE AIR CONDITIONER In for months *. Sigh.
