Over the last few years, I’ve thought a lot about how my family can impact climate change. We decided that the only way to really do it is to opt out as many of the systems we have grown accustomed to. We disassembled our entire life, and asked “why do we do that” on everything. “How can we power our camper without a power company?”
“Why do we have to use water when flushing the toilet?”
“How can we re-use the water that goes down the drain?”
“How do we remove plastic from our lives?” (THIS IS SO HARD.)
“How can we throw fewer things away?” -

I have solved the “too many WordPress plugins” problem!
Simply put all of your plugins inside a single plugin, and include each one manually!
One of my clients went from 75 plugins to ONE PLUGIN using this trick.
I just hope they don’t try to deactivate it.

I. Am. BEAMING right now. Ben is absolutely crushing Game Builder Garage. He’s on the “last lesson”, and I can’t possibly overstate how amazing this game is as an educational tool. He’s been 90% on his own, and the game is paced well enough to keep him engaged. I’m very impressed

So we’ve been using pine shavings for the toilet so-far, but we have a TON of sagebrush out here, and we’ve been thrilling about how to repurpose it. I got a wood chipper to break it down, and I think it’ll be a perfect replacement!

4-days in with the solar setup, and it seems to be able to keep up pretty well. We just make sure to bring the small Jackery in the truck when we go on errands so it charges while we’re driving.
I bet we can extend to 2 sunny weeks before needing the generator at this point.
