I’m finding that during this 30-day stay, I fill my head with work, projects, and a lot of coding. Kate fills hers with much more important things.
When we’re on the road, we talk about these things extensively. It rounds me out, I think.

In light of the recent upgrades to Underpin, I spent this evening giving the theme boilerplate a little love.
Hopefully the documentation upgrades will make it more-obvious how you’re supposed to use it.

I get queasy when I need to make a WordPress Widget. Setting up the fields, rendering the HTML, and getting fields to actually save is a PAIN.
Which is why Underpin’s Widget loader is one of my favorite loaders. It makes creating widgets less-painful.

Making some progress with making Underpin more-modular. It was so monolithic, and I think will benefit from being broken up a bit.
Side bonus – every loader gets a readme now, so the documentation is a bit stronger.

So, I said “Me too” to each.

Good god I’m yearning for the days where playing a game consisted of inserting a cartridge, and turning the console on. Been fighting tech for 90 minutes to play a game with my son. It’s ridiculous. Turn on switch, open Minecraft
