If you, have tons of @digitalocean notifications that you have to clear, paste this in your console and it will clear the notifications on that page for you.

I’ve been typing with proper form since 2004 and I still can’t freaking remember which number key is the %.

I generally find that if I am bashing my head against a wall on a programming problem, it’s probably because I am trying to do too much with one function, or class. Sometimes it helps to just wipe the slate clean, and start over.
