I really need a Javascript course that doesn’t teach me how to use it as much as it teaches good principles on how to organize my code. I have a grasp on good PHP practices and make use of those but JS is different enough that I can’t make sense of how to organize it.

Many professionals advise you with “dont’ overdo it”, but you need to learn what “overdoing it” is for you before you can avoid it. I think this definition is different for everyone. 10 projects to one is 100 projects to another. Push yourself to your limit, and reflect.
