We lived full-time in an RV for about 1,300 days, and tonight is the last night I will spend in one as a full-timer for the foreseeable future. The blow is softened knowing that I have a king size mattress waiting for me at the house ????.

All joking aside I’m so, SO excited to be moving back to town. I love RV life, but we’re pretty tired, and have no wanderlust left in the tank right now.

Welp, it’s happening. After 4 years of full-time travel, we’ve decided it is time to slide back into the rhythms of “normal” life, and signed a lease to move into a house in our hometown of Dover, OH for December 1st(!)

I love the time we spent traveling, and will always have the life-changing experiences that we had on the road with me. But yeah, I’m done. It’s been 4 years and I’ve got no more go in my go yonders.

I’m sure it will come back, and I envision that I’ll full time again in the future, but for now, we just want to slow down a bit.

Our Camper Has Been Severely Damaged

Our winter home has been damaged, and it’s unclear if we’re ever going to live in it again. As a result, we find ourselves making due, but we’re asking for help.

I just did the single longest drive with a camper in-tow we’ve ever done. We went 680 miles, starting in Hartwell GA, and parking for the day in Lafayette, LA. I do not enjoy staying in Mississippi Alabama, or Georgia based on previous experiences in these places, so we decided to rip off the Band-Aid and skip all of that in our drive to TX this year. 10/10, would drive again.

That’s a wrap for this summer! Starting our trip back to Texas this week. We have a few fun stops along the way, including the Smokies, the Poconos, and Shenandoah.

Earlier this week, Kate and I finally sat down and booked the rest of our year’s RV stays. With that, we officially have our statistics for the year. What’s cool is we were able to compare it to next years planned route, to help figure out if the trip is too much, or not. blog post probably coming soon.

I was at the Outer Banks last month, and while I was there I got to test out this really cool GoPro kite mount prototype I designed. It worked really well, but I am just now getting around to uploading the video for it. I’ll end up doing an actual post of this project in its entirety soon, but for now, here’s the video.

    SO FREAKING COOL, RIGHT?!

Parked the camper about 1/3rd of the way to DC from our summer home in Vermont. Didn’t even bother disconnecting it from the truck. We’ve got places to go!

I do feel bad for this campground though. We’ve done this three times to this same one. It’s just in the right spot for a late night layover on the way to DC (and more importantly, the Outer Banks ????)
