Experimenting with the a Mastodon app connecting directly to my blog. No idea where this is gonna go or how it works, but seems pretty cool.
Set up the friends plugin today and followed a bunch of people I used to follow on Fosstodon. Curious to see if all of this populates this app natively.

This little update on my site makes me so happy. My following of people who follow my website directly as opposed to following on social continues to grow. I still strongly believe that federation is the future of a healthier, happier (see: not “dead”) web.

I need to record myself flying this Tantrum kite sometime. On gusty days it’s a real workout. When the gusts die down, you have to sprint a bit to find the window and keep the kite in the air. When the gust is up, you’re basically rowing to keep the kite from pulling you away. So much fun!

A chunk of my team is out of the office this week, so I’m playing quadruple duty this week. I’m really glad I have my time budgeting and task management in-place, because I’d be completely off the rails right now.
Nothing reminds you of how much your team does for you when you’re not looking like suddenly losing a few of them for a week. So grateful for their help.
