I re-built https://t.co/XrsX7SuSg8 this weekend.
This site has no CMS, and no database. All of the content you see is fetched, and assembled together to create my site.
When I update my GitHub profile, my site updates. When I publish a blog post, it gets added to my site. The problem with my personal site, is that it is never the best place to publish any of my content. As a result, my personal site sits there, dormant, unused, and neglected.
I wanted to make my site as “set-it-and-forget-it” as possible, but still wanted it to update regularly.

I’m working on a rebuild of Alexstandiford.com. It’s currently a static site built with React, but I think I’m going to create a basic express app to serve a super simple REST API. Looking to make the site 100% consume other rest endpoints to build the entire site.
