Charlie

"Charlie" is one of our campers. Named after Charlie Brown because of it's brown color, this rig remains in our seasonal lot in Vermont, where we spend most of our summer when we're not using Leela for moving around. It features some of our key comforts, such as a dedicated office space for me, comfortable seating, an outdoor kitchen, and a separate bedroom for the kids, complete with seating and a table. This gives us a comfortable place to rest in-between travel sessions, and gives us a little more room, while still being able to be comfortably pulled by a half ton truck. Charlie is a 32' 2014 Sunset Trail Reserve, and we bought it in 2023 from a family who used it for weekend adventures for nearly a decade.

Well it took all freaking summer, but we finally got this corner set up how we want. Just in time to start thinking about leaving 😅. I guess we’ll get a few weeks out of it…

It’s raining, and the power just went out. One convenience about living in a camper is that we basically go into boondocking mode. The fridge kicks into propane, lights run on battery, and our Jackeries keep everything else running in the meantime.

One kinda neat thing about this camper is the wall that divides our bedroom from the living space has a TV that can rotate around and be used in either room. This is the first time we’ve had a tv in our living area, and it feels…weird? Like it doesn’t belong here, or something.

Moving into a new camper is always such a process. We're getting faster since we already know what decisions to make, but oof it sure is annoying to have my home all disheveled like this.

I can't wait until we're settled in a little more. Hopefully that will be sometime next week.
