Looking through some of my old archives, and stumbled on this fun cornhole board project I did a decade ago. I never did build this thing. Maybe this is the year?

This little cornhole board project was fun. I’ll have to make a set of them soon. Just need to borrow a circular saw for the top.

I guess I could use flat-head machine screws and lock nuts instead of wood screws. Clear coat should cover the screws decent enough.

I’m concerned that the screws will strip out of the hinge, especially since they have to be so short. Maybe I’ll use wood glue, too?

Making drawings of the #cornhole board. The legs will take time to cut if you’re not using a CNC machine. ow.ly/i/a6hne #design

It actually looks a bit nicer without the piano hinges, I think. ow.ly/i/a66KG #cornhole #design

Thank you McMaster, for supplying 3D models of most of your parts. You make designing with your hardware so much easier.

I was going to use piano hinges for these boards, but whoa. Expensive! Time to switch the more cost-effective Mortise-mount hinge. #design

The cornhole board legs fold tight, about 1-3/8″ thick. Should be do-able with the right tools. ow.ly/i/a5puJ #design #spring
