I think the biggest takeaway I have from our years traveling in the RV is that the world is so much smaller than you think it is. What feels like an entirely different world is usually 1-2 days away. I remember before we left, I would think “I have to go all the way to PITTSBURGH?! (2 hours away)” and now I find myself looking at the Outer Banks (9 hours away) like “I could be flying my kite on the beach before dinner today.”

Even longer trips, such as going to Yosemite National Park, is only 3-5 days of travel by car, and I’d even get to make a pit stop to Taos on the way ????.

I’ve been spending time backfilling content on my site. A lot of stories I share were once linked to a Twitter feed (ick) so I’m converting that content to a blog post and backdating as I go.

This is one of my favorite RV stories, where we had an unexpected visitor that scared the daylights out of me.

    My Frighting Experience In Taos

This tells a tale of the time we were boondocking in Taos and were met with some unexpected visitors late in the night.

Heard loud noises outside. Scared the hell out of me. Turned out to be…wait for it…

    Two donkeys.

What am I doing with my life? So I guess if you’re in and, we’ll, you’re looking for these two, shoot me a message. I can at least give you an idea of where we saw them.
