Again, servers using Mastodon are not walled gardens, separate from one-another. Communication can (and definitely does!) cross servers.

So this has a lot of potential. HardLimit is much like Mastodon in terms of the tech, and paradigm, but it’s using different software, called PeerTube.

@tomfinley installed a plugin that sets up his WP site as a private Mastodon server. Posts can be read by anyone using Mastodon. If you comment on the post in Mastodon, the comment is auto-added to the site, too. AWESOME. @tomfinley It’s built using a standard W3 spec: w3.org/TR/activitypub/
This spec literally allows you to describe social interactions between people. When set up with your WP site, your site literally BECOMES your social profile.
