So this week, we happen to be parked somewhere that’s close-enough to a family member that they were able to come out and park beside us for a few days. I’m so happy to see a familiar face!
That’s one thing I didn’t expect about travel – I always thought I was basically saying “bye” to everyone for years on end, but it hasn’t played out like that. We get to see family a few times a year.

Bear Ghost is an adventurous rock band out of Phoenix. I discovered them through a Slack channel when someone recommended them. They have somewhat silly subject matters in their music, but it’s always fun, unique, and never lacking in good instrumentation.

I just realized that the Jetpack app supports group blocks(!)
This means that if I want to publish a thread, I can put each intended “post” in individual group inside a single WP post. That allows me to thread things, but also delineate between the items for threads on social.
It’s not quite as good as a native block, but it’s definitely a step in the right direction. If only I could register my own block in the Jetpack app…sigh. I wish that was possible, because I could make a block that is such a better experience than what I have now.

We’re parked pretty close to a military base right now, and there are (loud, but very cool) jets flying by overhead. Kate and Devin are enjoying the view out the back window and watching them zoom by.
I love this setup! I wish we used it more. It’s just a little too annoying to rotate the chairs to historically make it worth it, but today we have something worth seeing.

I am at an awesome Mexican restaurant in Virginia Beach. The food is REALLY good.
I speak a fair bit of Spanish but am always scared to speak it back, but my waiter today basically served us in Spanish so I took a chance. I was presented with a free shot of coconut rum.
I really should take more chances.
