outer banks

I think the biggest takeaway I have from our years traveling in the RV is that the world is so much smaller than you think it is. What feels like an entirely different world is usually 1-2 days away. I remember before we left, I would think "I have to go all the way to PITTSBURGH?! (2 hours away)" and now I find myself looking at the Outer Banks (9 hours away) like "I could be flying my kite on the beach before dinner today."

Even longer trips, such as going to Yosemite National Park, is only 3-5 days of travel by car, and I'd even get to make a pit stop to Taos on the way ????.

Parked the camper about 1/3rd of the way to DC from our summer home in Vermont. Didn’t even bother disconnecting it from the truck. We’ve got places to go!

I do feel bad for this campground though. We’ve done this three times to this same one. It’s just in the right spot for a late night layover on the way to DC (and more importantly, the Outer Banks ????)

I love this little camper so much. It’s not the most comfortable setup long term, but it’s small, easy to haul, and ready for adventure. a real “camper’s camper”, if you will.

Seems silly to have a camper that’s basically dedicated to camping when you literally live in campers full time, but it’s an optimization which I do not regret.
