So yesterday, we went and purchased a new (MUCH smaller) 24′ camper that’s more similar to our OG rig. We intend to use this all summer for travel, and swap out for the big rig during winter when we’re less-active.

This was a whole heckin’ process and I’ll get into it in a blog post when I come up for air. I’m super excited about it though!

Exhausted. We left OBX this morning and are parked about 300 miles west in North Carolina for logistical reasons. Lots going on right now. Exciting, but tiring. I’ll share more when I have everything set.

RV Shenanigans are afoot! SHENANIGANS I SAY!

I flew my stunt kite today! I bought it last week at a local kite shop in Kitty Hawk (unsurprisingly, wind-based flight is pretty big here). I’ve never flown a two string kite before, but I’m hooked. I only wrecked it three times ????.

Looking at my personal “On this day” photos, and it became apparent that on this day 2 years ago I was in Coarsegold, California, where I had got myself in a hell of a pickle, and was helped by one of the most generous people I’ve ever met.

Devin discovered “the mouse” today. Apparently Bennett has been showing him how to use it while playing his games on his laptop. Came out of the shower to find Devin clicking around my PC, so I redirected that curiosity into something that won’t inadvertently wipe my hard drive ???? in the process.

OBX is a serious contender for my favorite place out east. There’s a lot to love about North Carolina. Really feeling the vibe of this area.

Lazy start to this Saturday. Kate and I are casually looking at some 24′ (much smaller than what we are in now) rigs and thinking about what we’re going to do should we be unable to buy land in Vermont. Perhaps a smaller rig and a couple years out west?

Even with how windy it is outside, the camper is not rocking at all. Slide supports and a tripod are seriously game changers.

Portrait of Kate at a beach. The waves can be seen crashing in the background.

Kate is wearing a green shirt and pants, and her clothes are soaked. She is making a very excited face and holding a fully intact conch shell.

My wife spent like 3 hours on the beach with Bennett today, looking for seashells. As I approached her, she came running up to me looking like what you see in the photo ????. She was so dang excited to find a fully intact conch shell in the water, and got soaked going in after it.
